Celebration Time at Monaro Timber

It was celebration day on Thursday 18th of March 2010 when Monaro Timber had a big party to celebrate our move to Queanbeyan and the commissioning of the Monaro Timber Design Centre.

The day started at 6.30 am. with a Tradies Breakfast, and many of our loyal customers called in on the way to work and joined us for a coffee and an egg and bacon roll, which was kindly supplied by Gunn's Timber.

Then at 9.00am. Radio station 2CA began a live broadcast from Monaro Timber for the next three hours. Presenter Larry Appley was assisted Mel, the “director of first impressions” at 2CA to conduct the regular prize give-aways.  Larry also talked to a number of our suppliers and customers throughout the morning.
Our special celebrity guest was Peter Ford.  Peter does the entertainment news on 2CA and had just arrived back in the country after a trip to Hollywood. Peter kindly spent the morning with us and filled us in on all the latest gossip from tinsel town before cutting our celebration cake.

As you can see from just the small selection of photos, it was a great day and one that all of us at Monaro Timber will long remember with affection.
