Eucalyptus pilularis
Description
A large hardwood that grows from Bega in NSW to Maryborough in QLD. The
heartwood is a pale yellow brown which commonly has pin hole borer and gum
streak. Commonly shows surface checking after drying.
Workability
Tough to work but polishes very well.
Applications
Mostly flooring and F27 structural hardwood. Currently being used much more
for a range of furniture applications.
