Description
A medium sized hardwood from North America. The heartwood is a pale yellow
brown and the sapwood is white. The grain is a little course and looks somewhat
like American Ash
Workability
Machines OK but is tough to work by hand. Finishes well.
Applications
Used for sporting goods, axe handles, machinery parts and the chips are
favoured for smoking meat and fish.
