Karri
(Eucalytpus diversicolor)
Description
One of Australia’s tallest hardwoods which grows in the south west corner of
Western Australia. The colour ranges from pale pink to red brown. It has a
course open grain but generally very close to Jarrah and often impossible to
tell apart visually.
Workability
Works well. It is a hard timber but generally good properties.
Applications
Traditionally a structural timber. It also makes excellent flooring and
decking. Can be used for furniture, particularly outdoors.
Availability
We stock flooring and decking and some limited furniture sizes.

Janka 9.0 Density 900 kg/m3 fairly hard
Durability
Good durability above ground.
